In 1984 Mike Lilienthal founded the company as MRL Construction which now operates as MRL Crane Service, Inc. It is located just north of I-80 on US Hwy. 281 in Grand Island, NE. The company initially concentrated on concrete work, steel buildings, and grain bins. Since then the name has changed once, the location has changed twice and the products and services have changed numerous times to accommodate the contractor’s needs.
For over 30 years our goal has been to provide quality crane service and rigging service along with equipment rental to central Nebraska. Mike has thirty plus years of experience in the construction equipment and crane operation industry and is focused on growing the company to fit the needs of our customers. MRL Crane Service’s primary focus is crane operations including crane rentals with or without crane operators and rigging operations as well as associated rental equipment. Their operations involve the moving and setting of industrial machinery, at construction sites, as well as, industrial plants, and power plants.
MRL Crane is a safety first company. All of their cranes are equipped with on-board computers which analyze a load and determine whether the crane can handle the load safely. Outriggers are used on every crane at all times. All cranes are inspected daily, prior to use, and are annually inspected and certified. MRL Crane Service has a CAD program which allows them to project potential problems at a job site before the actual lift takes place.
